Dublin beat Meath by 11-points in a one sided opener to the Gerry Reilly FT. Gerry Reilly U-16 FT - Round 1 Dublin 2-18 Meath 1-10 Gerry McEntee's charges were simply too strong for a disappointing Meath team in the first round of the Gerry Reilly U-16 FT played in Oldcastle on Sunday evening. Dublin led at the break by 1-12 to 0-4. Dublin controlled mid field for most of the hour and were able to build on their superiority with some great displays from their forwards. Dublin's mid fielder, David Moher got the 'Man of the match' award. On this display, Dublin will be strong contenders to win the Gerry Reilly Cup this year. Westmeath 2-14 Cavan 1-12 Westmeath showed with their victory over Cavan on Saturday that they are serious contenders for this year's final. They have a fantastic record in the tournament and no doubt want to build on this.
