Baconstown NS 5-11 Ratoath Senior Primary 0-0

Having lost the last two Allianz Meath Cumann Na mBunscol Division 1 camogie finals, Baconstown finally got their hands on the cup for the first time with this convincing victory over Ratoath SNS at Lomans Park.

Three of the eight finals managed to be played before the pitch became unplayable at the Trim venue.

Kerri Cole was outstanding for the winners and scored a very impressive 4-7. Equally impressive was Brooke Flynn who hit 1-3 for the Caroline Murphy trained outfit. Cole opened the scoring with a quick brace of goals and Baconstown went in at the break 5-5 to 0-0 in front.

After the game a very proud Meath senior camogie captain Claire Coffey, a former pupil at Baconstown NS, presented the Division 1 Cup to joint captains Kerri Cole and Becky Forde.
