Boosted by a tally of 2-3 from Eoin Lynch Duff, Killary Emmets following up on their opening round draw against Duleek/Bellewstown with victory in Walterstown.

The game was a closely contested affair for the most part with Lynch Duff's brace of second half goals proving the difference.

Keeper Greg Weldon made two fine saves as Killary led 1-6 to 1-4 at half-time. Padraic Dillon was the goal scorer for the Syddan/Castletown combination in the opening half.
