Syddan in a Different Class

St.Brigids: 0-7 Syddan:  2-17

St.Brigids was outclassed by a dominant Syddan side in this Div 3 league game in Ballinacree.

With a number of key players out due to injury it was always going to be a difficult task. Syddan open the half brightly and had 3 points on the board within the opening 9 minutes. Brigids settled and started to gain some possession around the middle. Peter Skelly and Philip Tuite worked hard in the middle.  Joseph Blake was in good form with his frees kicking all of his sides scores in the half. St.Brigids was hit with a blow on the 28th minute as Killian Kiernan was shown a straight red card. Syddan closed out the half with some excellent score giving them a 4 point advantage going in at the break.

The home side opened the 2nd half with an excellent score from Aron Kiernan to narrow the gap down to 3 but syddan used the extra man to great effect and hit 9 unanswered points. St.Brigids continued to work hard and points from Joe Blake, Dylan Tighe and AJ Gilsenan kept it going for the Ballinacree side. Syddan however were rampant and finished the game off with 2 well taken goals.
