The Meath Ladies football awards night takes place this Saturday November 21st in the Newgrange Hotel Navan.

There are a host of awards up for grabs.

This year it was decided to present a "Golden Boot Award" for the top scorers in each of the championships.

Oldcastle's Sarah O'Reilly will become the first winner of the Senior Football Championship 'Golden Boot'. The corner forward was in inspired form all year as Oldcastle paved their way to their very first senior championship final.

St Ultans proved their victors after a replay but O'Reilly finished the championship as top scorer. The ace markswoman amassed a total of 9 goals and 44 points and finished 19 points ahead of her nearest rival, Geraldine Doherty from St Ultans.

In both the senior final and the replay Sarah scored a total of 11 points including that last gasp equaliser in the replay to force to game in to extra time.

Senior Club Championship Golden Boot: Top Three:

1. Sarah O'Reilly (Oldcastle) - 9-44 (71)

2. Geraldine Doherty (St. Ultans) - 4-40 (52)

3. Katie O'Brien (St. Ultans) - 4-26 (38)

Sarah will be presented with her trophy at the Awards Presentation Night.
