THE destination of the points was rarely in doubt in this neighbourly clash at Ludlow Park.

Syddan got off to a flying start with a goal after two minutes from the inform Stuart Fedigan. They had opened up a 1-3 lead before Shane Farrelly got Castletown off the mark and they eventually led 1-5 to 0-5 at the break.

With Conor Dillon notching three points and Cathal Dardis adding another the lead increased throughout the third quarter.

Fedigan struck for his second goal on 48 minutes to leave it 2-9 to 0-6 and effectively end the game as a contest.

Both sides had been reduced to 14 by the time Conor Dillon hit Syddan's third goal to take his tally for the evening to 1-6.
