Clubs are being levied for the Dunganny development plan
Treasurer Brendan Dempsey reported that a loan of €1 million would need to be borrowed over a five to 10 year period for work on the Centre of Excellence in Dunganny at the August meeting of the Meath County Committee.

Dempsey's brother, Noel, who is chairman of the Infrastructure Committee said that seven tenders had been submitted for the work in Dunganny.

A preferred tender had been identified who they would be meeting this week with a view to signing contracts.

He also said that finance would have to be in place as the contractor would want assurances that he was going to get paid.

Meanwhile chairman Conor Tormey would not allow a debate on the Element Power issue following last week's decision to reject the 375,000 euro offer for support on the company's proposed windmills project.

Some of the attendance wanted the matter discussed but Tormey remained adamant that there would be no discussion on the matter.
