Ulster MFL Rd 5 Meath 1-8 Armagh 1-4 (played Saturday, 17 April. 04) Two points from frees by Cian Ward in the 5th and 10th minutes helped set Meath up for victory over Armagh in the Ulster MFL game played at Crossmaglen on Saturday 17th April. This was their 3rd win on the trot in the competition and they will have learned a lot from all the games in the league. Conditions were not easy for good football because of wind and rain. Despite having wind advantage in the first half, Armagh did not score until the 15th minute when a ball seemed to be going over the bar, went over the Meath goalkeeper 's head into the net. Another Cian Ward free had the sides level, but Armagh ended the half with a 2 point advantage. H/T:  Armagh 1-2 Meath 0-3Cian Ward recorded his 4th point in the opening minute of the second half. Armagh then had their best period of the game, but failed to capitalise on their dominance with some bad wides.
