JFCC: Hard fought win for Ultans

St Ultans commenced Junior Championship with a hard fought win over Oldcastle played in sunny Kells on Easter Sunday.

Ultans struggled in the first half and found it difficult to gain any scores only registering 3 in total.

Kieran Coffey got 2 and worked hard throughout and the other from the returning from injury Shane Rennicks who had a very impressive game throughout.

It was a much improved team performance from St Ultans in the second half, helped by substitutes Conor Smyth Alan Rogers and an early goal from Chris Murray.

The forward line played very well with excellent scores coming from Tony Smyth, Glen Kavanagh & Shane Rennicks.

Overall it was a very good team performance in the second half it was a deserved win for Ultans.
