MFL Div 5: Oldcastle tops in 10 goal thriller

A busy couple of days for Jason Scully. Captained St Oliver PP to a Leinster Junior C title on Tuesday evening and scored 2-2 for Oldcastle in their MFL win over Moynalty.

Oldcastle needed a victory over Moynalty in Moynalty last night (9 April 2014) to keep their hopes of making the play-offs of Div.5 of the MFL. They put it up to table toppers, Moynalty, from the throw in and led comfortably at the break by 4-4 to 0-6 with some fine goals.
Moynalty put more pressure on Oldcastle in the second half, but Oldcastle still got the goals that win games for a comfortable victory.
Overall a great team performance from Oldcastle
