It was an ideal day for football with the sun shining and good conditions under foot.

Both teams exchanged wides for the first five or so minutes until Killian Kiernan found the back of the Mary's net after AJ Gilsenan picked him out with a good pass. Oisin Kiernan and Gilsenan added points for St Brigids soon after.

Oisin was again on hand two convert two frees after Killian Kiernan and AJ Gilsenan were both fouled out along the Mary's 45 yard line.

St Mary's had a goal chance in the first half but it was blocked down by half back Shane Connell and a 45 was conceeded which St Mary's converted. St Brigids answered this immediatly with a great goal by Mitch Briody.

Killian Kiernan grabbed his second goal then after pouncing on a shot which rebounded off the upright. Rory Geraghty broke down a St Mary's attack and worked hard to get the ball up the field to AJ Gilsenan who made no mistake in finishing the ball over the bar to ensure the Brigids were leading at the break by ten points. Killian Kiernan got a point after the restart but St Mary's replied by getting two points.

Their momentom was stopped however after Shane Gilsenan was fouled inside the St Marys penalty area. Peter Moore stepped up to take the penalty but while his initial shot was saved, he made no mistake rattling the net with the rebound. AJ Gilsenan finished up the scoring for St Brigids with a point after Shane Connell broke down a St Mary's attack. The game finished on a scoreline of St Brigids 4-7 to St Mary's 0-9.
