After one round of the Bord na Mona O'Byrne Cup competition, the front runners in each group are clear to see.

In Group A the game between Louth and Meath in Pairc Tailteann looks like being the decisive tie, with the neighbours having won their first games.

Group B is more open due to the draw between Wicklow and DCU, with Dublin leading the way. Wins for Dublin and Wicklow on Wednesday, against DCU and Carlow, would set up a winner takes all clash between Dublin and Wicklow next Sunday.

Westmeath and Offaly lead the way in Group 3, but Laois can still have a major say as they host Westmeath on Wednesday. Offaly play Athlone IT and if they win as expected, will go into Sunday's clash with Westmeath knowing a win in Mullingar will earn them a semi-final spot.

The meeting of Kildare and DIT in Group 4 could well decide Group D, with Kieran McGeeney's men up against the form college team of 2012/13.
