Ballinabrackey 1-11
St Ultans 0-08

Ballinabrackey advanced to the Intermediate Quarter finals after a deserved but hard fought victory over St Ultans in Trim on sunday afternoon.

Points from Danny Quinn and Damien Carroll had the Bracks in an early lead and they would have stretched the lead with a goal but for a great save from the Ultans keeper. Ultans had a goal chance themselves the other end but the ball came back off the crossbar into John Currys hands and the danger was cleared.

The teams exchanged further points and The Bracks went in leading 0-06 - 0-04 at half time. Ultans were fired up early in the second half and put on all the early pressure but the Bracks slowly found their feet again and took hold of the game, Danny Quinn hitting the net after his initial effort had been saved and there was no way back for Ultans. Both teams had a man each dismissed near the end and The Bracks march on to the quarter final with a game to spare
