12 - Padraig Geoghegan (Kildalkey)

14 - Mike Cole (Rathmolyon)
15 - Jimmy Pratt (Boardsmill)

1 - Jim Burke
(Navan O'Mahonys):
While he mightn't have enjoyed his enjoyed his finest hour in the Jubilee Cup decider when conceding three goals against Kildalkey, Burke's heroics between the posts was one of the main ingredients in Navan O'Mahonys surprise voyage to the final. Made a number of stunning saves throughout the year and his handling and puck-outs were right out of the top drawer.
Honourable mentions: Conor Flynn (Kildalkey), Shane McGann (Kiltale), Stephen Quinn (Killyon).

2 - Conor Dunne (Kildalkey):
An old-fashioned corner-back who didn't want to grab any headlines but instead just did his job without any fuss. Dunne was on of the stars of Kildalkey's rearguard unit with his tenacious defending snuffing out plenty of talented opponents and rarely put a foot wrong all year.
Honourable mentions: Cormac Reilly (Navan O'Mahonys), Mickey Foley (Gaeil Colmcille), Patrick McGovern (Kilmessan).
3 - Richie Hogan
(Navan O'Mahonys):
Was unfortunate to pick up an injury before the big dance against Kildalkey but managed to play through the pain barrier which is testament to the character of the no-nonsense number three. Turned in a number of cracking displays throughout the group stages which helped propel to top spot and excelled against Kiltale in the semi-final too. Surely entered Cillian Farrell's notebook at some stage during the year.
Honourable mentions: Stephen Forde (Kildalkey), Neil McLoughlin (Boardsmill), Paul Fagan (Dunboyne).

4 - Padraig Donoghue (Kiltale):
Was one of a number of dual players that helped Moynalvey lift the Mattie McDonnell Cup while also pursuing a Jubilee Cup dream with Kiltale. Donoghue was a rock at the heart of Kiltale defence all year and his ability to win aerial possession on the edge of his own 'square' was a feature of the campaign. Despite losing out by a point to Navan O'Mahonys in the semi-final, he was one of the best players on the show in that outing. Wore the number three jersey on most occasions but moves to the corner for this selection as he simply couldn't be left out.
Honourable mentions: Eoin Potterton (Kildalkey), Paul O'Brien (Kilmessan), Stephen White (Kiltale).

5 - Mairtin Doran (Kildalkey):
A shoo-in for the wing-back berth on this team as Doran, along with his younger brother Derek, was arguably the best player on show in this year's championship campaign. For the second year in succession he captained Kildalkey to Jubilee Cup glory and led by example on the pitch with a series of top-class displays throughout the year.
Honourable mentions: Tommy Cosgrove (Rathmolyon), Willie Mahady (Kiltale), Peter Reynolds (Kilmessan).

6 - Enda Keogh (Kildalkey):
Seven different players got on the scoresheet for Kildalkey in the SHC decider so the fact that Keogh received the coveted 'man of the match' award speaks volumes about the influence he had on proceedings. Has always looked a natural centre-back and this year he really fulfilled his potential with a number of stunning displays in the number six shirt. Never put a foot wrong all year and was a leading candidate for 'hurler of the year'. Looks sure to be an integral part of the county side in 2011.
Honourable mentions: David Farrell (Boardsmill), Stephen Clynch (Kilmessan), Willie Mahady (Kiltale).

7 - Martin Horan (Kilmessan):
Not for the first time in recent years, Kilmessan fluffed their lines on the big stage but that certainly wasn't down to Horan who has caught the eye both for club and county this year. A natural wing-back who filled in at midfield on a number of occasions and he chipped in with some crucial scores during the championship campaign too.
Honourable mentions: Paudie Guy (Boardsmill), Maurice Keogh (Kildalkey), Ger Murphy (Dunboyne).

8 - Ger O'Neill (Kilmessan):
Better known as an attacker, O'Neill was deployed in a deeper role than usual this season and it reaped handsome dividends as he enjoyed an excellent campaign at midfield. Despite his lack of inches, his willingness to put his body on the line enabled him to pick up a huge amount of possession and he also chipped in with scores from distance, particularly in the group stages.
Honourable mentions: Sean Corrigan (Kildalkey), Niall McKeigue (Navan O'Mahonys), John Donoghue (Kiltale).

9 - Tony Fox (Kildalkey):
What a year it has been for the dual star. Not only was he an integral part of the Ballivor side that lifted the Matthew Ginnity Cup but Fox was also one of the main reasons that Kildalkey retained the Jubilee Cup. Started the year in defence but found a home at midfield where he lorded the midfield exchanges and provided a decent supply of service for a firing forward unit.
Honourable mentions: Conor Murray (Gaeil Colmcille), Eoin Marsh (Kilmessan), Niall Murray (Trim).

10 - Paddy Skehan
(Navan O'Mahonys):
The Brews Hill men were the surprise packets of the SHC and Skehan proved an able talisman up front and finished the campaign as his side's leading scoring. His unerring accuracy from placed balls combined with his able to split the posts with crucial scores from play made him a shoo-in for this selection.
Honourable mentions: Sean Heavey (Kildalkey), Mark O'Sullivan (Kiltale), Gary Cole (Rathmolyon).
11 - Noel Kirby (Kildalkey):
It's no coincidence that Kildalkey's dominance of Meath hurling has arrived at the same time as Kirby's emergence as the most reliable free-taker in the game. The towering attacker constantly punished teams for fouling within his scoring range and also contributed handsomely from open play too. Made his debut for the county side too and will surely be a permanent fixture in that team for the foreseeable future.
Honourable mentions: Nicky Horan (Kilmessan), Thomas Reilly (Boardsmill), Joey Toole (Trim)

12- Padraig Geoghegan (Kildalkey):
Another Kildalkey representative but the pacy wing-forward was one of the aces in the champions pack and warrants inclusion. Tormented defences with his pace and guile throughout the championship and improved his scoring ratio too. Developed a canny knack of winning 'dirty' possession in the midfield battlezone, especially in the Jubilee Cup decider when Navan O'Mahonys threatened to work their way back into contention.
Honourable mentions: Peter Durnin (Kiltale), Stephen Gibbons (Boardsmill), David Raleigh (Killyon).

13 - Derek Doran (Kildalkey):
A goal machine. There were times when you wouldn't know Doran was on the pitch but then he would spring to life and bury a bucket of goals. Was undoubtedly the best player on show this year and displayed his talents in the county final triumph over Navan O'Mahonys when netting a brilliant brace of goals. Unmarkable when on song, Doran is arguable the most promising hurler in the county.
Honourable mentions: Thomas Leonard (Boardsmill), Neil Heffernan (Trim), Kevin Keena (Kilmessan),

14 - Mike Cole (Rathmolyon):
What can be said about Cole that hasn't been said already. A grand servant to Meath hurling and despite his advancing years, the Rathmolyon sharpshooter had arguably his best year in a green and white shirt in 2012 and almost single-handedly hauled his home club back into the senior championship. His performance in the IHC decider against Boardsmill was right of the top drawer - scored 1-11 out of 1-13, with 1-6 of that total coming from open play.
Honourable mentions: Alan Doughlas (Trim), Michael Dunne (Dunboyne), Joey Keena (Kilmessan).

15 - Jimmy Pratt
(Boardsmill):
Boardsmill didn't spend too long paddling in the shallow waters of the IFC and their stay in the grade was hastened by a potent attack, in which Pratt excelled throughout the year. The pacy corner-forward sugarcoated a memorable year with a stunning performance in the IHC final against Rathmolyon with his clinically converted first half goal sending his side on the road to victory.
Honourable mentions: James Kelly (Kiltale), Charlie Keena (Kilmessan), Stephen Moran (Dunboyne).
