Drumconrath struggled to a double scores victory over Boardsmill outfit. In reality the result was never in doubt as Drumconrath dominated but took three quarters of the game to pull away.

Stephan Crosby opened the scoring with a well stuck effort and while Boardsmill pointed a free through David Farrell. Drums got next 3 scores through Lighton Irwin (2 frees) and a neat point from Brendan Lyons. Boardsmill managed a point from play on 15 minutes to leave 0-4 to 0-2. Irwin hit another 2 frees and a point from play as Boardsmill scored late on to leave it 0-7 to 0-3 at the break.

Two more Irwin frees opened up a 6 point lead but Boardsmill got two points in reply both frees to keep within striking distance at the end of the third quarter. Drums hit a good patch as Sean McMahon, Stephan Crosby and Jamie Myles extended the lead with 7 minutes remaining. Drums suffered a Red Card at that stage and Boardsmill upped their game to narrow the gap to 5 points with 2 frees. Late points from Irwin and Damien Glass finished the scoring as Drumconrath closed out the game.
