Another award for Moynalvey

January 26, 2012

Moynalvey's Cillian O'Sullivan
All in Moynalvey would like to congratulations to Cillian O'Sullivan who was last Thursday night honoured with the Meath Chronicle/Cusack Hotel Group Young Sportstar of the Year award at an award ceremony held in the Knightsbrook Hotel.

Also congratulations to Moynalvey athlete Sara Treacy who was honoured with the individual award for the month of November after she travelled to Sligo for the National Cross Country Championships and produced an outstanding display to win the Senior title.

Cillian enjoyed a fantastic year in GAA circles in both football and hurling. He was central to Moynalvey claiming the Intermediate Football Championship and the Div. 2 Minor League title, while also starred in the Moynalvey minor side which narrowly went down to Ratoath in the Minor Championship decider.

Cillian also played a pivotal role for the Kiltale Senior & Minor Hurling sides along with starring for the Meath Minor Football Team who reached a Leinster Final and the Meath Minor Hurling Team who claimed honours when claiming the All Ireland Minor 'B' Championship.

It is a another major achievement for the Moynalvey club as Cillian's award adds to Anthony Forde's award earlier in the year when being honoured with the Meath GAA Young Footballer of the year.
