Moynalvey went down to Dunderry by three points in this B league game played at Kilmore Park Moynalvey on Tuesday evening August 10th.

Dunderry opened the scoring in the 2nd minute with a 45, before adding two more points in the 3rd and 10th minutes. Moynalvey eventually opened their account in the 11th minute through Brian Conneely. A minute later Darren Brennan dispossessed a Dunderry player in the middle of the field, fed a pass into PJ Walsh, before taking the return pass to split the posts. Conneely levelled matters up in the 20th minute with a fisted effort, but by the 26th minute Dunderry had once again built up a three point lead. Sixty seconds later, Ciaran Ennis kicked a superb point to leave just two between the sides at the break on a score line of 0-6 to 0-4.

Despite both sides passing up several goal opportunities during the first half, it was Moynalvey who took the upper hand three minutes after the interval, when a Ciaran Collins effort at goal was saved, only to see the rebound fall to Ciaran Ennis who made no mistake hammering the ball to the back of the net for the only goal of the evening. The goal changed the momentum of the game as further points from Collins and Brennan gave the home side a three point advantage after just eight minutes of the second period. But within four minutes Dunderry had matters levelled up once more with three quick fire points leaving the score line reading 1-6 to 0-9. Good link up play from Collins and Brennan set up PJ Walsh in the 44th minute but two minutes later Dunderry once again regained parity. As the sides looked inseparable and the game looked to be heading for a draw, it was Dunderry who took the upper hand gaining a two point advantage in the 51st and 52nd minutes. Another Ennis point left just one between the sides, but over the final minutes it was Dunderry who held on kicking two points late into injury time giving them a three point victory on a score line of 0-14 to 1-8.
