Na Fianna enjoyed a successful start to their Division 1 league campaign with a well earned win over visiting Navan O'Mahony's in Baconstown.
Half time: Na Fianna 0-7, O Mahonys 0-5
Barry Slevin was to the fore for the home side, sending over 13 points with Shane Burke netting the goal.
Having been two points in arrears at half time, when Colin O'Rourke goaled early in second period the Navan men looked the most likely victors. However the home side replied shortly after with their own three pointer which ultimately proved decisive. Best for O'Mahonys were Donal Hogan, Kevin and Colin O'Rourke and Mark Usher.
