Meath 7-6
Laois 2-11
The Meath Under 14 Ladies kicked off their season on a high note with an impressive victory over Laois at Timahoe on Saturday in the first round of the Leinster Championship.
The first half proved to be a real battle with Meath leading by 3-3 to 1-7 at the interval courtesy of goals from team captain Eleanor Lane, Alicia Curtis and Naoise De Graff.
Meath upped the tempo in the second half and showed great spirit and resilience to claim a well deserved victory in this tough encounter.
