A FL: Ultan's down Cortown
March 15, 2010

St Ultan's Kevin Galligan
St Ultans 1-9
Cortown 0-9
A goal by St Ultan's full forward Kevin Galligan in the 31st minute was the decisive score in this low scoring local derby played in Cortown on Sunday afternoon.
The home side had gone two points ahead and with the wind in their backs for the second half would have felt pretty confident at half time. However the visitors held them to 3 points for the second period whilst scoring 5 themselves and finished strongly. After losing their opening 2 games Cortown will be hoping for a quick return of their injured players to help achieve points in future games.
Impressive for the winners were Ciaran Timmons, Darren Mallon, Rob Duffy, Ciaran Lynch and Kevin Galligan.
Best for Cortown were D. O'Halloran, J. Casserly, G. Loughran, G. Coyne, D. Clarke and S. Fitzmaurice.
