Curraha got their first points of the league campaign with a deserved home win over neighbours St. Vincents on Sunday.

The Ardcath side got the perfect start with a goal in the opening minute but the home side responded well and were in control for most of the first half to lead at the interval by two points, 0-9 to 1-4.

The visitors struck for their second goal immediately after the restart but like the first half Curraha came back well and Brian Cosgrave goaled midway through the half to edge his side back in front. Curraha tagged on four points in the closing stages to ensure the victory.

Best for Curraha were Neal Shortall, Sean Mallon and Alan Carroll.
