Longwood's second string got off to a winning start in this Monday night fixture in Trim.

The away side set the tone in the opening minute when a long ball from Tim McNamara was punched to the net by Ian Keenan. 4 more unanswered points left the away side to a commanding lead after 15 minutes. Trim did counter attack and were unfortunate to hit the bar and were wasteful on front of the posts on occasions. Martin Bermingham finished superbly to the net on the stroke of half time.

The second half was a more closely contested affair at times but with a further goal from Ian Keenan and some excellent point kicking from Thos Drinan and Alan Ennis Longwood ran out comfortable winners.
