Boardsmill 2-11 Donaghmore/Ashbourne 2-9Boardsmill survived a spirited Donaghmore comeback at Dunganny on Sunday evening to claim their place in the U-21 B Hurling Final. Boardsmill were in control of this game from the start and quickly built up a 1-4 to 0-1 lead in opening minutes, the goal coming from Neil McLoughlin. Some excellent points from play from Vivian Dwyer gave the 'Mill a healthy 1-7 to 0-3 lead at the break.Playing with the breeze in the second half, Boardsmill maintained control during the third quarter with a fortuitous goal from Jimmy Pratt and further points from Dwyer. They held a 9 point lead entering the final quarter and looked to be home and dry. Donaghmore/Ashbourne never threw in the towel and their constant attacking reaped the rewards it deserved with a goal and some pointed frees.
