Kelly glad of underdogs tag

Meath side Navan O'Mahony's find themselves in the unusual position of being underdogs going into a championship match, but their manager Sean Kelly is in no doubt that should be the case. All year O'Mahony's have been favourites in their matches and rightly so as they cruised through the Meath championship, before receiving a walkover from the Wexford champions and then hammered Westmeath outfit Castledaly. However, they come up against a strong Kilmacud Crokes side at Parnell Park tomorrow and Kelly believes that the Dublin side have way more experience than his young charges. "Kilmacud have a tradition in this competition. They have won it before and they know what it takes to win. I suppose when O'Mahony's were in it before they might not have taken it too seriously, but this group of players sat down after the county final and decided they were going to give it a good go, and in fairness to them, that's what they are doing," said Kelly. "They are very physical in every position. Their forwards are very dangerous but I was also impressed with their backs. Adrian Morrissey is a good player for them and they are a mature, experienced side. We won't have anyone over 30 playing. Niall McKeigue, at 29, is the oldest and after that you have a lot of lads around 22, 23 and 24, so we're a young side."
