Colm Coyle Bainisteoir An Mhi
By Randal Scally.
Former Meath football manager Colm Coyle has made a quick return to management with Westmeath club side Coralstown/Kinnegad.
Coyle, who stepped down as Meath boss following their heavy All-Ireland qualifier loss to Limerick last July, will be aiming to bridge a 13-year gap by guiding Kinnegad to the Westmeath senior football crown in 2009. The Meath-border club were beaten by two points at the quarter-final stage this year by Castledaly who went on to claim their first county title.
Confirming Coyle's appointment, Coralstown/Kinnegad official Jim Rock said: "We have the players, many of whom are now 27 or 28, and if they can't win the championship next year, they never will.
"It's a case of 'now or never' for this group of players and hopefully Colm will give us the extra push that's needed to get us over the line."
