Both sides traded scores for the first 15 minutes to leave it all square at 0-3 points each. After the water break, Kilbride edged ahead by a single point. Three minutes later Pierre Fox slotted home a penalty with some aplomb for Dunsany to take the lead; a lead they never relinquished for the remainder of the game.
Minutes after the 2nd half resumption, Dunsany fired home 2 goals, one from another Pierre penalty to open up a 9 point lead. Kilbride battled hard to reduce the margin to 6 points at the 2nd half water break but Dunsany pressed on to win the game and the group by 3-12 to 0-10.
Dunsany now proceed to the semi-final.
