Dunsany 9-23 Drumconrath 1-2

Dunsany raced into a 5 point lead within 7 minutes of the throw-in in this Round 2 Junior Championship, Group A match against Drumconrath in Kilberry. 

A slip up in the Dunsany defence allowed Drumconrath in for a 11 minute goal but that was to be their last score of the half. On the other hand, Dunsany managed to amass an impressive 3-13 .

When the game was well beyond Drumconrath in the second half, Dunsany went on a goal scoring spree clocking up 5 goals within 8 minutes. Despite Drumconrath’s brave attempt to contest at every opportunity, they just managed a further point in the second half after a barren spell of 40 minutes.

The final score was Dunsany 9-23 Drumconrath 1-2 with a tally of 4-12 from the irrepressible Pierre Fox.

All eyes are now focused on the decider between Kilbride and Dunsany.
