IFC: Castletown's woes continue

Castletowns woes post covid lock down continued on Saturday evening in Pairc Tailteann with this 16 point defeat at the hands of Dunderry. This defeat put an end to any hope Castletown had at progressing in this years championship. 

Dunderry had stuck first with the opening two scores and on 7 minutes Darren Finney pointed from play to open Castletowns account. Dunderry were four point to one up after 10 minutes and Castletown hit 2 points in a row on 14 minutes Kevin Ross from play and Darren Finney from a placed ball on 17 minutes. Castletown failed to raise flag for the rest of the half with Dunderry doing the opposite and scoring 6 points in a row to lead 10 points to 3 at the half time interval. 

Castletown opened the second half scoring with 3 points in a row, 2 from Darren Finney one from play and Kevin Ross also from play which was Castletowns last score of the game with 8 minutes gone in the second half. Dunderry took over from there and scored 2-06 without reply including a converted penalty before the referee Martin Dawson blew the final whistle.  

Castletown will meet Kilmainham in the final game of Group C in two weeks time.
