The Meath minor pair accounted for 1-11 of their teams tally as North Meath Gaels were defeated.

Michell had four points on the scoreboard inside ten minutes and had a penalty saved brilliantly by North Meath keeper Ryan Shekelton on the 12th minute. The full forward added another two points before the break. His county team mate Costello accounted for a goal and two in the opening thirty minutes, the goal coming with 5 minutes left to play. The Meath Hill, Drumconrath, Kilmainhamwood amalgamation got on the scoreboard in the 23rd minute courtesy of a Callum Crosby pointed free. Dunshaughlin went in at the break 1-8 to 0-1 up.

Their lead was never threatened in the second half. North Meath came in to the game a little more and were rewarded with points from Dean Martin (4) and Crosby. Mitchell (2), Costello and substitute Colm Keane kept the scoreboard ticking over for the Black and Ambers as they went on to record a comfortable win.

The highlight of the game for the North Meath combination was the performance of keeper Ryan Shekelton who produced a string of outstanding saves to keep the winners tally down.

After the game County Board Secretary Mairead Delaney along with Alfie and Teresa Tolan presented the Liam Tolan Cup to Dunshaughlin joint captains Odhran O’Riordan and Kevin Bawle.
