Big day for ladies club football

October 05, 2018

Celebration time for Oldcastle as they are crowned 2017 SFC winners at Skryne

Saturday October 6th sees the Masita Intermediate Club Final take place between Donaghmore/Ashbourne and St. Michaels. Both teams have been impressive in the rounds and this is sure to be one of the games of the year.

The game throws in at 5pm. Venue is Skryne. Entry is €8 per person. OAPs €5 and U16 FREE.

This Saturday also sees the Masita Senior Championship semi finals taking place.

First up is the clash of Boardsmill and Simonstown. This promises to be a cracker. The final round of the championship was played at the weekend with Boardsmill getting over the line by just a solitary point. Anyone's guess who will come out on top this time round. Both sides will need to be on top of their game. Boardsmill will want to put the defeat of last years final well and truly to bed whereas Simonstown are keen to reach their first ever Senior Championship Final.

The second semi-final sees the pairing of current Senior Champions Oldcastle and Seneschalstown. Again these sides met at the weekend in the final round game and it was Oldcastle who came out on top. Seneschalstown had a slow start to the championship whereas Oldcastle were 'ticking along nicely'. Another game that could go either way. Oldcastle will be looking for back to back wins with Seneschalstown looking to get back to championship winning ways after a few years in the rebuilding stage!

Get along to Bective GAA Club for both semi-finals. Its sure to be a great day of football.
