JFC: Ballivor remain unbeaten

Ballivor maintained there 100% record in championship with a hard faught win over Dunsany in wet conditions in Sean Newman Park.

Ballivor 0-14  Dunsany 0-7

Dunsany struck first with there only point from play in the first minute. Ballivor then got on the score board when a counter attacking move ended with a fine point from Joseph McLaughlin. Ballivor where now on top and notched over two good points from Brendan McKeon and Nicky Potterton. Momentum was halted when then lost McLaughlin to a very harsh black card.

Dunsany pointed before Kevin McKeon added 3 frees for the maroons. Ballivor were handling the conditions much better and kicked 2 futher points near the end of the first half to lead at halftime by 0-8 to 0-4.

Ballivor started the second half quickly and Martin Healy send over a point in the first minute of the second half. Ballivor were now controlling the game and were able to keep Dunsany at arms length and frustrate them. Martin Healy recived a bang to the head which forced him to leave the game and the referee had no option other than to sent the Dunsany man off.

Ballivor quickly added another point through Kevin McKeon before they recorded the score of the game. Dunsany were attacking through the heart of the defence great defending resulted in Ballivor winning the ball back and worked the ball out of defence and an accurate pass found Thomas Raleigh in space on the right wing and the impressive Ballivor centre back drove forward before knocking over a fine point.

There was now only one winner and a fine left footed Keith Keoghan point and another Thomas Raleigh point finished off the scoring the leave the final score Ballivor 0-14 to 0-7 and keep Ballivor on track for quailifaction out of the group.
