B FL Div 2: Cullen and O'Connor impress as Trim win with ease

Trim 6-22 Blackhall 0-9

Eoin O'Connor was on fire in St Lomans Park and helped himself to three goals in a dynamic first half display from the lightening fast Trim forward.

He hit the net after just ten seconds and added goals in the fourth,eight and twenty second minutes. He capped off a wonderful display in the second half when he netted from the penalty spot and added two points from play .This was the best display of the season from the Trim second string and was timely boost in the League having suffered two defeats in a row.

Dimmy Higgins was withdrawn at half time but his contributions from play before the half time whistle was blown were important. Mikie Cullen finished with one goal and eight from play in a hugely impressive display at corner forward.

The Trim Intermediate management team were present and the must have taken stock of both O'Connors and Cullen's performances. Nigel Dignan was another to impress on the night and scored four points from play. Manager Andy O'Brien emptied his bench at half time to give his full squad a run. 

Half Time Score Trim 3-14 to Blackhall 0-5

The second Half continued in a similar vain to the first with Trim scoring at will adding another three goals and eight points to Blackhall Gaels four points. To their credit Blackhall never gave up and fought for every ball hard and fairly.
