HL Div 1: Super sub Healy seals win for Kildalkey

Kildalkey 4-19 Na Fianna 2-17

Baconstown was the venue for Kildalkey's Division 1 Hurling League as Kildalkey took on the host team Na Fianna in what turned out to be a high scoring entertaining affair.

Sean Heavey struck the first point and Paul Fagan quickly followed up with another before Enda Keogh finished to the net after a goalmouth scramble to leave Kildalkey ahead. Further scores from Derek Doran and an Evan Fitzgerald free was countered by 2 goals by Na Fianna. 

Doran hit 3 more points before half time and Evan Fitzgerald with one from play and another free either side of a Nicky Potterton point closed the first half scoring for the village men who went in at half time 1-10 to 2-8 behind.

Na Fianna hit 3 frees and a sideline cut over the bar at the start of the second half when Kildalkey introduced Martin Healy from the bench who went on to score 2-2 his first goal came after some brilliant work from Doran who released a great pass for Healy to finish to the net . 

This kick started the blues to play some good hurling and points from Evan Fitzgerald, Enda Keogh and Healy left them ahead but Na Fianna fought back ato leave only 2 points in it again before Nicky Potterton robbed his man gathered the ball soloed in and scored a great individual goal. 

Healy then scored his second goal to leave some daylight between the sides and hard working Eoin Potterton and Evan Fitzgerald hit the last 2 points to seal the win for Kildalkey
