Navan O'Mahonys opened their B FL Division 2 bid with a home win over Nobber.

O'Mahonys laid the foundations during the first-half when assisted by the breeze. Colm Kane's charges were then able to resist a second-half Nobber rally that cut the gap to a goal heading into the final third of the hour.
The Brews Hill side reasserted themselves in the latter stages with Evan Murtagh's goal putting eight points between the sides. Nobber closed the scoring through Darren Lambe and Alan Farrell (free).
The home side would have won by a wider margin but for the efforts of Nobber 'keeper Christopher O'Reilly who made a number of fine saves, notably two in quick succession in the final quarter.
O'Mahonys posted eight points when assisted by the breeze blowing into the Brews Hill goal. Those scored were punctuated by a brace of Nobber points in quick succession around the 20th minute.
Darragh Cassidy placed Jonathan Donohoe for Nobber's opener before adding his side's second, from a free, to leave it 0-3 to 0-2. While the visitors posted seven first-half wides, O'Mahonys closed the half with five scores on the spin.
Robbie Keeleghan (two), Gavin Fox, Ciaran McGuinness and Aodhan Mallon were O'Mahonys' scorers in this phase. Earlier Craig Munnelly-O'Toole (two) and Keeleghan posted the home side's opening scores.
