Trim 6-15 Drumree 0-6

As the score line wound suggest Trim had a run away victory in this junior hurling league played at a bright sunny St Lomans Park. This game was over as a conntest at half time with Trim Leading with a score line of 5-10 to 0-4.

Trim started brightly and had eight points on the scoreboard by the tenth minute. The points came from Cian Lee 0-1, David Murtagh 0-3, Kevin Lennon 0-2, Colm McGrath and Jamie Lee 0-1. The scores dried up and Trim did not score again until the 21st minute when young star Cian Lee blasted the ball to the Drumree net with an unstoppable shot from twenty two yards.

From the puck out David Murtagh gained possession played a great ball into Andy O'Brien who also left the ball in the back of the net. O'Brien was playing his first match in three years having previously managed the Junior team for the last two years. Cian Walsh, Leighton Massey and Colm McGrath added goals before half time to take the game beyond the reach of Drumree.

The winners started in bright fasion in the second half with Cian Lee scoring three points, Sean Thornton a goal and a point and Jamie Hacket a point to finish off an impressive score line of 6-15 to 0-6
