SYDDAN 2-15 MOYNALTY 2-4
SYDDAN secured a knockout spot in the Junior C championship with a game to spare following an easy win in Nobber last Thursday evening.
Moynalty started with 14 and it didn't take long for Syddan to assert their superiority, racing into a eight point lead in the opening quarter.
By half-time Syddan had built up a 0-13 to 0-1 advantage with the returning Ian Curran on target with five points and Darren Smith and Conor Dillon sharing six points.
Any hope Moynalty had of a second half revival disappeared when Conor Dillon netted within three minutes of the restart. Syddan's second goal from Darren Smith proved to be the only other score in the third quarter.
Moynalty outscored their opponents 2-3 to 0-2 in the final quarter but the outcome was never in doubt.
