On a wet and windy Sunday morning Moynalty played Bective in Division 4 B League in Bective.

Bective controlled the first half and with the help of the wind they scored two goals and five points to Moynalty's goal by Pauric O' Connor, to leave half time score Moynalty 1-00. Bective 2-05.
With Moynalty got off to a great start in the second half with a goal from Cathal Reilly and points from Adrian Maguire, Andrew Lynch and Pauric O' Connor, before Bective registered a score. Bective replied with a point.
Three more points from Ronan Lynch and Cathal Reilly and O'Connor left the minimum between the teams.
Bective found a new lease of life and extended their lead to 3 before Moynalty took the lead for the first time in the match thanks to 1-1 from Andrew Lynch and a Cathal Reilly point. Bective hit a late equaliser to leave the final score Moynalty 3-07, Bective 2-10

This match was played in very wet, windy and slippery underfoot conditions with constant rain but the sand based pitch stood up well.
Bective played with the wind in the first half and produced some very good attacking moves.
Two such attacks resulted in Donagh Garvey racing through for two goals and a point.
Moynalty goal keeper also made a great save from a penalty. Bective went in at half time 2-5 to 1-0.
The second half began with two points from Moynalty, now playing with the strong wind. Moynalty also scored a goal and gradually reduced the deficit to one point but Bective rallied, driven by strong commitment from midfielder Ciaran Breslin and went back three points ahead.
However a high ball into the Bective square deflected and found the back of the net and set up a dog fight to the final whistle, with both sides swapping points.
The game ended all square: Bective 2-10, Moynalty 3-7.
