Gaeil Colmcille 2-22 Duleek/Bellewstown 2-09
Seamus Mattimoe chipped in with 0-10 for Gaeil Colmcille in their Feis Cup Semi-Final win over Duleek/Bellewstown played at Syddan on St. Patrick's morning. The Kellsmen played against a strong wind in the first half but still went in 1-07 to 1-06 up at half time, Oisin Reilly with the opening goal after some good work by Brian Hanlon.
With the wind in their sails in the second half Kells hit some wonderful scores from Mattimoe, Hanlon and Fionn Reilly. The killer goal of the match came when a long ball into the forward line was gathered by Hanlon who squared it to Martin Barrett who palmed it into an empty net to leave it 2-08 to 1-06 with only 2 minutes of the second half played. Kells scored five points in a row most notable one by Hanlon from out at the sideline. Duleek/Bellewstown did pull a consolation goal back but it was to be Gaeil Colmcille's day, it will be the second time in three years that Kells reach the Feis Cup Final after winning the trophy back in 2015. Standing in their way will be Donaghmore/Ashbourne who overcame Summerhill in the other Semi on Thursday evening.

Duleek/Bellewstown's run in the Feis Cup came to an end in Syddan on St. Patricks morning with a 13 point defeat to Gael Colmcille.
Duleek/Bellewstown were still in the game at half time playing with a strong wind on their backs, being behind 1.07 to 1.06. Johnny Flood, with 2 points and Johnny McDonnell had only the minimum between the teams after 15 minutes. A flurry of activity and scores from both sides in the second quarter, including a long range goal from Johnny McDonnell, couple with a point from Conal McGinley left only the minimum between the sides at half time.

Gael Colmcille came out all fired in the second half and with the strong wind on their back registered an unanswered 1.06 before McGinley and Flood pointed from frees.
A flurry of scores from the free flowing Kells outfit saw them score another 9 unanswered points in the forth quarter. The strong wind was certainly of assistance but the Gael Colmcille forward line were in full flight and very accurate.
To their credit Duleek/Bellewstown fought to the end and were rewarded with a consolation goal and point from Johnny McDonnell (goal) and John Flood. Gael Colmcille ended up worthy winners.
