Bective were beaten by Walterstown by five points in the Corn Na Boinne semi final in Moynalty on Thursday 16 th March.

Bective were never in front in this match which was played at a high pace with a number of very good stretches of football.
Both teams carried the ball forward with pace but Walterstown were more efficient and shooting many fine points.
Bective's Cathal Mc Connell had two fine shots at goal but both were brilliantly saved by the Walterstown keeper.
Walterstown led by 8 points to 4 at half time.
Bective came out with a determined attitude in the second half but continued to miss scoring chances, and at the other end Walterstown continued to shoot fine points.
However with 10 minutes to go a great drive forward from Mark O'Brien and pass to Cathal Mc Connell who found Sean Keating and he goaled to leave Bective 4 points behind.
Walterstown again tagged on points and left Bective requiring another goal but the opportunity didn't come and some wasteful shots ensured a 5 point win for Walterstown.
Best for Bective were Ciaran Breslin 0-1, Paul Mc Cabe 0-3 from frees, James Davis, Marty Mulhall 0-3.
