Mayo joint-manager Noel Connelly still believes that his side need to improve if they are to contest for an All-Ireland SFC title.

Despite hammering Sligo in the Connacht SFC final last Sunday to claim their fifth consecutive title on the trot, Connelly feels that there are certain areas that they must work on.

The concession of two goals to Sligo has a sticking point for the Mayo management and they are keen to shut up shop against more quality opposition.

"We're going to have to up our game," Connelly told the Western People. "We still conceded 2-11 and maybe three or four chances where our keeper made great saves.

"We are disappointed from that side of things and we have a lot of work to do to try and cut that out that's what we will be focussed on."
