Langan hails victory

Kiltimagh under-21 manager Tony Langan praised his players' resolve as they battled to capture the county 'B' title on Sunday.

A resolute display saw them edge out a brave Ballaghaderreen side in the final which was played at MacHale Park.

Speaking to the Western People he said: "That was a really hard game. Ballaghaderreen are a strong side, we knew that going in. A good few of our players would have been playing intermediate football all year, so that kind of stood to us. They've been battling hard all year for our senior team.

He added: Thirteen of our panel played for the seniors in Division 1C. Ten of that team played against Ballyhaunis a few weeks back for the 1C title. They're a great bunch of lads. Hopefully, they'll stay around for the club. That's all any club can ask really."
