Brennan takes top award

December 03, 2014

Ballyhaunis' Adrian Brennan has been named the Mayo hurler of the Year.

Brennan had an outstanding year at corner back as the senior hurlers collected their medals for winning the Connacht intermediate title as well as the Leinster GAA Kehoe Cup Shield.

The county's minor hurlers also retained their All-Ireland C title and over 200 attended the event.

Guest of honour on the night was Tipperary hurling legend Michael 'Babs' Keating, while An Taoiseach Enda Kenny also said a few words.
