The Mayo juniors have reached the Connacht JFC final without playing a match.

The juniors were due to play Galway this Friday night in the semi final, but the two other semi finalists have withdrawn from the competition.

Both Roscommon and Leitrim felt that they could not field adequate sides to compete and have subsequently withdrawn from the beleaguered championship.

As Galway have already beaten Sligo in the preliminary round, there are only two teams remaining and the Connacht Council have deemed that the tribesmen will face their old adversaries in the final as curtainraiser to the Connacht SFC clash between Galway and Roscommon at Dr Hyde Park on May 20th.
