Connolly takes positives from defeat
May 09, 2012
Mayo manager Murt Connolly believes they must take the positives from the defeat to Down.
The Connacht side pushed their Ulster opponents all the way in last weekend's Christy Ring Cup, but the latter held on for a three-point win.
Now, Mayo take on London in Ruislip this weekend and Connolly explained to the Western People that they must learn from the defeat to Down.
"There are lots of positives that we can take from that encounter," Connolly stated in the Western People.
"At the same time there is a lot of work to be done as well. Any day that you are beaten you have to find out what went wrong. Hopefully, we can correct our mistakes and be in good form for Saturday."
