Barrett returns for Croker clash

February 02, 2012
Davitts preparations for the All-Ireland club IFC final have received a boost following the return of defender Frankie Barrett from Australia.

The Mayo and Connacht champions are busy preparing for the final against Kerry's Milltown/Castlemaine on February 12th.

Barrett headed to Oz in December, but he has returned to help his side in the biggest day in their history and manager Pete Warren is delighted to have him back.

"He played the second half of a challenge game on Sunday and certainly hasn't lost any of his sharpness," Warren revealed to the Mayo News.

"Fair play to him, he came home two weeks before the game in order to give himself every chance to be ready for it. I think Frankie listened to the All-Ireland semi final on the radio and couldn't bare to see us in a final without him. He is a great fella to have around the dressingroom and we are all delighted to have him back."
