Mayo forward Andy Moran believes he has never seen the senior squad as strong as it is now.

Moran has been part of the Mayo squad for the past seven years, during which times he has played with some excellent footballers, but he is adamant that with the wealth of talent that is coming through the ranks at the moment, the panel is stronger than ever.

"I don't remember the Mayo panel being as string as it is now since I've been involved," Moran stressed to the Mayo News. "These young boys are playing for places and I was watching them very aware that I had to get back soon if I wanted to be pushing for a place for the start of the league against Laois."

Moran returned to action in last weekend's FBD League win over Roscommon having been sidelined for the past three months with a broken leg. Tweet
