Warren: Croker won't intimidate us

Davitts' manager Pete Warren is confident that his charges will not be overawed by Croke Park.

The Mayo and Connacht champions booked a date in the All-Ireland club IFC football final at Croke Park last month after they defeated Wicklow outfit Eire Og Greystones last weekend.

And for the majority of the side, it will be a first appearance in Croke Park, while it is a first All-Ireland final for all the squad, but Warren feels that the players have the character to deal with the occasion.

"Croke Park won't intimidate us. We keep everything low key," Warren told the Western People. "The lads hadn't played in Tullamore before, but we told them if they were focused enough the venue doesn't matter, nothing matters only a players' own game, how they defend, how they attack, how they contest ball, that's what matters.
