Davitts preparations go well
January 19, 2012
Davitts' manager Pete Warren was delighted with his players' resolve over the festive period.
Davitts take on Wicklow and Leinster champions Eire Og Greystones in the All-Ireland club IFC semi final at Tullamore (2pm) on Sunday.
The side have had little break over the winter and Warren admitted that they were very good over the Christmas and looked after themselves in the proper manner.
"I told the lads before Christmas that they were just 60 minutes away from Croke Park, and that has to be a huge incentive for them," Warren told the Mayo News.
"They're only going to get one opportunity to play in an All-Ireland final. I have to say the lads have been great. We had our club social last Friday night and the lads did themselves proud. They know what's at stake at this stage of the game and they showed great maturity."
