Shrule/Glencorrib are set to appeal the straight red card that Mark Ronaldson received during his side's victory over Moy Davitts last weekend.

Shrule are now through to the quarterfinals but the win was marred by Ronaldson's sending off following an off the ball incident during the second half of the match.

The former county star is set to receive a month's ban and that would rule him out of the last eight clash and he would be a massive loss to the South Mayo side.

Ronaldson had scored four points before he was dismissed, but the club feel he was harshly treated by the match referee and are set to appeal the decision. Tweet
