Hurlers to get league campaign underway
February 25, 2010
After a delayed start, Mayo will get their National Hurling League campaign underway this Sunday when they welcome Kerry to Castlebar.
Martin Brennan's team had been set to kick-off their opening game in Division 3A when the travelled to Crossmaglen last Saturday night, where their clash with Armagh had to be called off due to heavy snowfall.
Mayo will now start off with their round two fixture against the Kingdom, who scored a good win over Derry at Celtic Park last weekend and will be looking to build a winning-streak in bid for promotion from the third tier.
Westport's Conor Ryan will captain Mayo on Sunday, as they go in search of an early pair of points at McHale Park, where throw-in has been scheduled for 2.30pm.
